Studio Movie Grill (“SMG”) modernized the traditional movie-going experience by combining first-run movies with in-theater dining and is differentiated in the market today by its continued ability to innovate and maximize movie and menu offerings to a broad demographic.

Brian Schultz, founder and owner, conceived the concept in 1993 and is still active in the day-to-day operations alongside an experienced executive team with many years of movie, restaurant and entertainment experience.

All SMG locations are equipped with state-of-the-art digital equipment paired with crystal clear sound for a truly immersive movie-going experience while the menu offers a wide range of American grill items alongside premium bar.

Higher Purpose

Studio Movie Grill exists to open hearts and minds, one story at a time, and endeavors to be a transformative experience for team members and guests every day with numerous community outreach activations and a nurturing team culture.

Movies + Meals

For every 1,000 points guests earn in our unique SMG Access rewards program, Studio Movie Grill donates a movie and a meal to a deserving non-profit in your community. We have donated screenings and meals to groups like Boys + Girls Club, underserved schools, and foster families.

Special Needs Screenings

A pillar of SMG’s Outreach for the past seventeen years are our regular Special Needs Screenings, designed for families raising children with special needs, and scheduled following the release of a new family movie. These family-friendly movies are free for children with special needs and their siblings, with adult tickets available at before-noon prices, making it more affordable and to encourage families to attend together. Special Needs Screenings are shown with the lights up and the volume lowered, and
children are free to move around, talk, or even dance in the aisles during the movie. Special Needs Screenings are shown at 11:00am at all SMG locations.

Chefs for Children

Order one of our designated chef-inspired menu items and SMG will donate 5% of the proceeds to our partner non-profits serving children with special needs. Together, we’ve contributed over one million dollars.

Bike Giveaway

It’s a tradition at Studio Movie Grill to donate an adaptive bicycle to a child with special needs at newly opened SMG locations in conjunction with the launch of our Special Needs Screenings.

The Opening Hearts + Minds Award

Completing our fourth OHAMA award this year, we have been overjoyed in presenting the award and a donation to a hero in our communities as well as internally to an SMG team member.

Conscious Leadership & Culture

Studio Movie Grill stands by our “Win 5” stakeholder model. Our business aims to ensure that all of our stakeholders – our guests, investors, team members, communities and vendor-partners – all benefit by visiting, partnering, joining, serving, and supporting SMG. Additionally, we offer our team members and guests opportunities to give back to their communities through our many community activations including offsite volunteering.

Our passion and dedication to what we do is our greatest strength. Every member on the SMG team from the service team to the boardroom is dedicated to the principles our company was built on. This commitment enables SMG to continually look forward and build up the SMG brand to compete, and most importantly, win over the 10+ million customers that visit our theaters each year.
