Pavel Konecny, CFA®, is the President and CEO of Tri-Star Trust, a privately owned Michigan trust bank and wealth management company. He joined Tri-Star in 2018 as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer and became President and CEO in January 2024. Before joining Tri-Star, Pavel spent nearly 20 years with Chemical Bank, now Huntington Bank, including 10 years as Corporate Treasurer.
Born in Czechoslovakia, Pavel came to Midland in 1992 to attend Northwood University on a full tennis scholarship. He earned both his undergraduate degree and MBA from Northwood. Pavel is actively involved in the region, serving as Chair of the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce and on the boards of Michigan Chamber of Commerce and Midland Center for the Arts.
Pavel became involved with Conscious Capitalism because its stakeholder-focused approach closely reflects Tri-Star’s belief that a successful business should create meaningful value for its clients, employees, communities and shareholders. He is passionate about helping make these principles practical and supporting organizations that understand that purpose, caring and strong business performance can—and should—work together.
