Kimberly “Kim” Norris is Vice President of Administration for Glastender, Inc., a family-owned manufacturer of commercial bar equipment in Saginaw, Michigan. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University and worked in hospital and home healthcare before joining her family’s company in 1996. Her healthcare background continues to influence her leadership philosophy and her commitment to promoting the total well-being of employees.
Over the past 30 years, Kim has helped Glastender bring its higher purpose—to enrich the lives of others—to life throughout the organization. She built the company’s human resources function, developed an award-winning safety program, and implemented a comprehensive employee wellness program. Together with her brother and husband, she has helped establish business practices such as Process-Based Leadership and Open Book Management, reinforcing a culture of transparency, accountability, shared success, and respect for the people who make that success possible.
Kim believes businesses are most successful when they create value for all stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, owners, and the communities in which they operate. This belief is reflected not only in her work at Glastender but also in her community involvement. She has served on the Saginaw Valley State University Foundation Board for 12 years, is an active member of SVSU’s Stevens Center for Family Business, and has volunteered with Junior Achievement for more than 17 years. She also previously served two terms on the CMURC Board of Directors.
As a founding board member of Conscious Capitalism Great Lakes Bay Region, Kim is passionate about connecting and inspiring leaders who view business as a force for good. She brings to the board her experience helping build a purpose-driven family business where conscious leadership, stakeholder well-being, and a strong, values-based culture are central to long-term success.
