Developing stakeholder strategies as I focus on people, products, and process to achieve extraordinary results, is what most characterizes my career. I began my professional journey as a technology sales rep in a healthcare services company and then progressed through roles of increased management accountability leading to VP of Business Development for a US manufacturer. Along the way, I modernized operations with technology, changed business models, expanded product lines, and delivered double-digit growth in sales and profit margins. My business development skillset is both broad and deep, from identifying market opportunities through developing sales and marketing strategy (including collateral and packaging), securing multiyear agreements, and ongoing account management. Much of my success can be attributed to the relationships I’ve been able to build and nurture with my customers, partners, distributors, and teams. My approach is collaborative and my communication style is transparent as I develop long-term relationships of trust. During my career, I’ve had the opportunity to lead nationwide salesforces of employees and up to 120 manufacturer’s representatives. As a people leader, I provide the tools, training, and resources required to enable teams to succeed while creating environments that empower and drive ownership and a high level of customer satisfaction. Early in my professional journey, I earned my Competent Toastmaster certificate from Toastmasters International while in their communication and leadership program. Since then, I’ve had the honor of speaking at major events, including graduation ceremonies, Veterans Day celebrations, and large company meetings. I also explained different aviation careers to high school students and introduced the world of scuba diving to a wide range of ages. Outside of work, I stay active through a variety of activities – I’m NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors) Advanced Scuba Rescue Certified, which allows me to assist an instructor in training (pool) and open water certification dives. I’ve traveled for both work and pleasure to 44 US states, where I’ve visited 9 of the 15 Presidential Libraries, and 19 countries. I’ve also played club tennis for 20+ years.
