Great Lakes Bay Region Chapter
Bob Martin was born and raised in Saginaw, where he graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1986. After earning his BBA from Western Michigan University, he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, and worked in the travel and tourism industry. He later returned to Michigan and spent 25 years in Grand Rapids, building his career and raising his family.
In his current role with the Saginaw Spirit hockey organization, Bob leverages his business expertise to create meaningful partnerships, strengthen community engagement, and support initiatives that positively impact the Great Lakes Bay Region. His work reflects a strong commitment to regional development and youth-focused programs.
Bob has demonstrated a deep dedication to child and family advocacy through six years of service on CAN Council committees, helping advance the organization’s mission to prevent child abuse and neglect through education, intervention, and advocacy. He also serves on the boards of Child & Family Services of Saginaw County and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Great Lakes Bay Region, where he contributes his leadership and passion for strengthening families and creating opportunities for youth.
Bob’s involvement with Conscious Capitalism stems from his belief that organizations thrive when they foster cultures that genuinely care for and invest in their employees. Throughout his career, he has successfully cultivated values-aligned sponsorships and strategic partnerships that create lasting community impact. His leadership style is grounded in integrity, collaboration, and service.
Bob and his wife, Kim, have four adult children living across the country. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering with local nonprofit organizations, gardening, and playing frisbee with his dog, Sadie.
