Philippe Harousseau is a CMO with Chief Outsiders, a leading national network of fractional Marketing and Sales executives, where he helps CEOs of small to mid-size companies turn their vision into a growth engine.

Philippe has extensive experience in the consumer goods industry at companies like Unilever, GoGo squeeZ, and Shiseido. He developed and executed cut-through, award-winning marketing and innovation programs that delivered sharp, differentiated brand propositions and built both brand equity and financial performance.

From his involvement in the original Dove campaign, Philippe learned how to unlock the power of purpose to build brands that do well and do good at the same time. He continues to work with brands with higher purpose and while he believe in all of the four tenets of Conscious Capitalism, he has a bit of a bias for the one related to purpose.

Philippe recently moved to Atlanta after spending over 20 years in New York. Philippe has four sons and one grandson. He is an avid marathon runner and an outdoor enthusiast.

I believe that business is fundamentally good. Free-enterprise is good at creating value – societal, human and financial. As humanity evolves, business is evolving with it and the historically narrow focus on profits is being augmented by a broader focus on benefits for all stakeholders that interact with businesses. Capitalism is being re-defined as a force for good with an opportunity and a responsibility to improve the human condition. And by doing so, businesses can become more durable, more resilient with capital that extends beyond the balance sheet.

My personal purpose is to advocate for the positive evolution of capitalism. I offer a pragmatic perspective on the forces shaping new ways of doing business and how they are better for organizations and their stakeholders. I offer guidance to business leaders on strategies that will position them to benefit from this evolution and find competitive advantage.

My success is measured by enlightened business leaders who are prepared for a business future that will be markedly different from the past. And how they can enrich lives, including their own.

Hal brings decades of conscious business efforts to Conscious Capitalism. Ranging from Rotary Club project leadership for blood donations and recycling, to past president of the Harvest Hope Foodbank and Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta, he now defines himself as a “recovering broker, now an educator.”

Seeing how broken the health ecosystem had become, Hal provides consultations through an independent brokerage agency for health insurance and employee benefits. The consultations align with Conscious Capitalism’s “Stakeholder Orientation” tenet in several ways.

Prior to his current health insurance brokering, Hal worked in disruptive roles including Earthlink and DISH Network.

Hal also teaches sailing at Lake Lanier, leads an annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving Celebration, and enjoys running, hiking, mountain biking and disc golf. Hal and his wife Alison are graduates of Syracuse University and live in East Cobb.
