Having spent 25 years working as an Executive, a Consultant, Coach and Board professional across the commercial and non-profit worlds, Kate has firsthand experience of building and growing purpose-led organisations and the support leaders need if they’re to deliver it. She brings her vast experience and expertise of UK, European and US landscapes to her role as fractional Chief Impact Officer at Conscious Capitalism, leading on thought leadership and impact.

Her expertise lies at the intersection of business and society with a background in strategy consulting to some of the world’s biggest corporations on people, performance, purpose and productivity, predominantly in the tech, media, financial services and sports industries. She has also held senior leadership positions in British non-profits, such as Comic Relief, Nesta and the Forward Institute. She believes in making the world better led and is focused on what that looks like in practice, both today and into the future.

She’s written for leading magazines such as Fast Company on how the business and non-profit worlds can learn from each other, has spoken at events on the changing role of business in society, is currently writing a book Accountability under fire: How society is demanding more from business and what great leaders are doing about it, and has sat on purpose-led business think tank councils and judged various industry awards.

She’s an experienced Boardroom operator herself, having Chaired the Board of British charity Missing People, and is currently a Non-Executive Director at ParalympicsGB.

Kate is a Brit, currently living in Washington DC with her diplomat husband and two children. Her family are on a mission to explore as much of the US as possible and experience it’s nature, culture and sports. Kate’s also a keen yogi and learning to play pickleball if you fancy a game!
