As a C-suite executive, Christina Johnson has raised more than $60 million dollars for national and international nonprofits, effectively lobbied on behalf of the affordable housing sector, and successfully built high-preforming teams and boards. Known as an agile leader with depth of experience across sectors, Christina is committed to positive social impact in business and a people-first leadership style.
As the Executive Director of Conscious Capitalism, Washington, D.C.(CCDC), she oversees the organization’s strategic growth model and partners with leading corporations, such as the The Motley Fool, Venable, LLP and Baker Tilly, to elevate humanity though business. Prior to joining CCDC, Johnson was the Chief Operating Officer for The Warrenton Group. In that role, she oversaw a portfolio of mixed-use housing developments and led public-private partnerships to create sustainable mixed-use developments throughout the DC metropolitan region.
Johnson’s most recent entrepreneurial venture included the founding of Rooted Therapeutics and Standard Wellness Maryland, where she led the application and competitive bidding process in pursuit of medicinal cannabis cultivation licensure from the state of Maryland. Johnson’s team ranked as a top-ranked applicant.
Johnson is a native Washingtonian with a long history of representing local nonprofits. She serves on the boards of directors for Montgomery Coalition for the Homeless, the Nonprofit Village (Montgomery County Maryland’s first nonprofit incubation center), and Pride of Baltimore. She previously served as board chair of Nonprofit Montgomery.
Johnson graduated Magna Cum Laude from both Hampton University and the University of Dallas College of Business. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and resides with her family in Kensington, Maryland.
