Pachamama Alliance Founders’ Journey to the Amazon Rainforest for Conscious CEOs & Founders hosted by Amanda Kathryn Roman and Lynne Twist
Join us in Ecuador for a one-of-a-kind journey to the “sacred headwaters” of the Amazon rainforest and an unforgettable experience that will inspire you for a lifetime.
August 6 – 17, 2019
The Founders’ Journey is a fully immersive exploration into the pristine heart of the Amazon rainforest with intact indigenous people. Designed to reveal ancient truths, confront personal challenges, and uncover your Higher Purpose; the Founders’ Journey takes you deep into the heart of what it means to be a Conscious Capitalist.
Pachamama Alliance has been working in a successful and thriving partnership for over 25 years with the Achuar and Sapara people, the natural stewards and caretakers of the forest, living in one of the most remote parts of the Amazon along the southern Ecuadorian border. This trust allows for the most intimate access, as we are considered friends and allies, not tourists. You will be welcomed at indigenous-owned lodges and villages that offer the unique opportunity to engage in intimate conversations and activities such as interpretive rainforest hikes, river trips in canoes and kayaks, cultural practices and traditions, and shamanic ceremonies.
The Founders Journey is by invitation only; Lynne Twist our newest Conscious Capitalism, Inc. Board member, and Amanda Kathryn Roman, our Chief Strategy Officer, invite CEOs from the Conscious Capitalism community to join them for this incredible adventure to connect more deeply with ourselves, those around us, and the earth we all share. CEOs and Founders who have joined this experience before report this experience as a life-altering, transformational, and a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Here’s what you can expect…
Our group will convene for an informal dinner on the evening of August 6 in Quito, Ecuador’s capital city.
The following morning, our Journey group of about 20 will officially begin with an early breakfast and orientation meeting.
We will then travel from Quito down the Valley of the Volcanoes over the eastern side of the Andes descending through the cloud forest to the Pastaza River Canyon and on to the very edge of the vast Amazon rainforest.
You will enjoy this first evening in a beautiful spa owned by friends of the Pachamama Alliance.
After an evening group orientation, the following day you will fly by small plane over the endless rainforest to the Sapara territory for two days and two nights in a community called Naku, led by Manari Ushigua – a global leader and powerful shaman.
Then, we will fly to the Achuar village of Kusutkao where you will be met by your canoe transportation and taken to one of the most beautiful places on earth, Kapawi Eco Reserve.
This will be our base for the next four days and nights from which we will hike, canoe, swim with freshwater dolphins, learn from the indigenous people, visit Achuar communities, meet with shamans and village elders, explore the depths of Conscious Leadership, and participate in ceremony and ancient traditions.
Following our time in the rainforest, we will return by small plane to meet our bus and drive to a stunningly beautiful mountain top spa resort overlooking the city of Banos (named for its healing thermal baths). There will be time for relaxing, integration, and learning more about the Conscious Capitalism movement and the critical work of the Pachamama Alliance in supporting our indigenous partners and ensuring the permanent protection of the Sacred Headwaters of the Amazon.
Our Journey will end back in Quito on the evening of August 16 with a final celebration dinner. And on August 17, you are welcome to depart on a midnight flight, extend your stay in Ecuador, or continue on to your next destination.
Trip Cost: $5,950
