Kelly Chewning


Kelly Chewning is a marketing consultant in Boston. Her primary background is in hi-tech, focusing on product launches and go-to-market strategies. She has become passionate about seeing business used as a force for good. She has loved finding the community in the Conscious Capitalism Boston chapter, and enjoys working on growing the membership through various marketing channels.

Deborah Smith


Deborah Smith is one of the founding members of Conscious Capitalism Boston. She is also the Senior Development Officer at ArtsEmerson, the professional theater presenting company and part of Office of the Arts at Emerson College. Working within the Financial Services industry for most of her career, she has held a variety of executive positions, principally within the Investment Servicing space at Citigroup and State Street where she served institutional clients. Deborah embraces the 4 tenets of Conscious Capitalism and is seeing these applied in the arts and culture world at her organization whose mission is to forge transformative social change through the arts.

Lyman Jackson


Lyman H. Jackson is not a visionary or innovator. He is a passionate advocate for changing corporate culture to “do good for all.” He is a practical Certified Financial Planner™ Practitioner that helps families plan for college and retirement at the same time. He and his business partner co-founded Financial Planning Solutions, LLC, a fee-only planning firm that serves busy professionals, women in transition (widows and divorcees) and small business owners. The firm designs and manages SRI/ESG investment plans for clients who want to make an impact with their money.

Larry Yu


Larry Yu is a business writer and communications consultant based in Boston. He is the Managing Editor of the Milken Institute Review, co-founder of Kite Global Advisors, a communications consultancy, and former Executive Editor of Strategy+Business. In the past, Larry has also corresponded for Sloan Management Review and ghost-written business books and Harvard Business Review articles. A focus of his work is the impact of business on society and the environment. He is co-chair of Climate Reality Project’s Boston chapter, board member of Conscious Capitalism Boston, and former president of the Brattle Film Foundation board.

Bob Scoville


Bob Scoville is the President and Head Coach at Performance Talks, Inc., a firm specializing in helping leaders and teams improve their effectiveness. Performance Talks provides a variety of services: custom leadership development programs, peer development groups, team development, executive coaching, and strategic planning facilitation. Bob has conducted more than 5000 hours of executive coaching, designed and facilitated more than 150 Executive peer group sessions, and led more than 500 group meetings to help build healthy businesses and fulfilling personal lives. Bob is a Co-Founder and Director of Conscious Capitalism Boston and leads presentations and workshops on Conscious Capitalism for companies.

Darby Hobbs


Darby Hobbs is a visionary, social innovator, motivational presenter, educator, author, and strategic marketer. Focused on Relationship to LIFE, Oneself and Mankind and building the bridge between what individuals value through understanding their LivingWellTM Model and their whole life plan including investments. It’s about connecting the heart, to the mind, to the wallet. She works with business leaders, investment firms and financial advisory groups to develop a deeper understanding of how to apply ESG/SRI and Impact Investing criteria into business decisions and to understand the value drivers of individuals ready for being part of the new investment experience.
