Support for Houston and Hurricane Harvey Victims

|

From everyone at Conscious Capitalism, Inc. (CCI), we offer our deepest sympathies to the people of Southeast Texas and surrounding areas who are suffering from the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey.

While I am glad to say that the members of our newly formed Houston Chapter of Conscious Capitalism are all safe, as we all know, there are many who are not. The damage done to the city of Houston and the surrounding communities is devastating and presents a long road to recovery.

As an organization, we intend to do our part to help in this recovery. This is an opportunity for not only CCI as an organization, but for all businesses, to show the power of Conscious Capitalism by coming together to rebuild the area. The future of Houston will depend upon the work of businesses, both local and beyond.

To this end, we are actively discussing a number of projects for CCI to support our Houston Chapter and the entire region in their efforts to help rebuild their communities. For starters, we will launch a micro-grant program to support rebuilding businesses in Houston. This program will be funded by a special Charity Poker Tournament held in conjunction with our annual CEO Summit as well as donations made on this page of our website. (Please select “Yes” in response to the question whether the donation is intended to support the Houston relief efforts).

If you would like to become more actively involved in CCI’s Houston relief efforts or recommend other opportunities for CCI to support the region, please let us know by emailing us at houstonrelief@consciouscapitalism.org.

Again, our deepest sympathies go out to everyone affected by Hurricane Harvey in Southeast Texas.

Sincerely,
Alexander McCobin
CEO, Conscious Capitalism, Inc.
