Mary Thompson is Certified Financial Planner™and owner of ReFrame Financial Planning, a fee-only financial planning company that is on a mission to shift the mindset around financial planning and “traditional” retirement. They help those who are thinking about an encore phase to re-imagine and design the second half of their lives.
A former project manager and “change” manager in the IT field, then a stay-at-home mom and then a Registered Investment Advisor for ten years, Mary built her own practice (ReFrame) as she entered into her “encore” adult years.
She was an active volunteer for several businesses in Old Ellicott City as part of flood recovery and rebuilding efforts. She also volunteers for several organizations involved in financial literacy. And, she started the organization This Point Forward, a nonprofit dedicated to providing resources, support and programs for individuals preparing for retirement with meaning and purpose.
