Josh Massey is a husband, father, builder, coach, experiential educator, and coffee enthusiast. Combine these…it is no surprise to those that know him that Ortus Academy was the outcome. He is the COO & Co-Founder of Ortus Academy, a Financial Intelligence educational platform and community based in Baltimore. Ortus Academy offers Financial Intelligence education to entrepreneurs, business owners, youth organizations and educators with Millennial and Gen Z members through online courses, virtual and in-person Financial Wellness workshops, speaking engagements, and coaching.
Josh earned his third degree black belt in Hapkido, and from 2005 to 2012 was a Lead Instructor and Program Director of a martial arts school – this was where his passion for teaching was realized. He went back to college in his thirties to pursue a degree in Leadership Development & Social Entrepreneurship – from UMBC. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Leadership – also from UMBC, and spends his free time with his family exploring, experiencing, experimenting, and educating along the way.
