Onyemaechi Nweke, DrPH, MPH

Onyemaechi is an expert on social inequities, environment, and public health. She is a business owner, systems thinker, thought leader, and creative mind with extensive experience as a federal environmental regulator and active community citizen. Her primary interest in Conscious Capitalism is the alignment of stakeholder and business values, and she welcomes dialogue on strategies to develop sustainable mutually beneficial synergy between businesses and their stakeholders. Dr. Nweke has a Doctor of Public Health degree in Environmental Health Sciences from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Matthew Koren

Matthew Koren brings over 10 years of strategic operations and organizational consulting experience to Conscious Capitalism Portland. His expertise in leadership development, strategic planning, organizational change, and training design informs his practice of building high-performance teams that thrive. He has trained and managed marketing and sales teams in the Education (Ed tech), Finance (Fin Tech), Automotive, Hospitality and Tourism industries.

For the last 12 years, Matthew has been an advisor, consultant and coach to executives of big business and local organizations alike. He thrives in projects involving people strategy, organizational change, as well as training design with a focus to ensure sustainability of his implementations over time. Majority of his work has been with business units within Fortune 1000 firms, including Wells Fargo and LinkedIn. His approach assimilates the latest research in consciousness studies, psychology, business, organizational development, mindfulness meditation, and quantum resonance theory. He holds a B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in cross-cultural communication from Reed College in Portland, OR, and a certificate in International Business from the University of International Relations while studying Mandarin in China.

Matthew’s key strengths lie in strategically arranging resources to align with organizational goals that serve the long-term vision and sustainability of the business. His process allows clients to create clarity of purpose, confidence in their process, and access to their team’s collective intelligence. Kristin Bowers

Kristin Bowers enjoys helping organizations and their stakeholders feel heard by putting ideas into action that results in measurable change. She has touched most all elements of the organizational process; starting her career as an accountant, building marketing departments, serving as a full-time diversity and inclusion professional, and now managing culture and human resources for Conscious Capitalism Portland’s founding sponsor, Revelry Group. As the Membership Manager for Conscious Capitalism Portland, Kristin strives to help individuals and Portland-based companies achieve organizational and personal purpose alignment via the four tenets of Conscious Capitalism.

Dr. Tinah Ibironke

Dr. Ibironke is a small minority business owner and a leader in her community. She is an adjunct professor at Coppin State University where she teaches in the business administration department. Dr. Ibironke dedicates her time to nurturing and mentoring young adults in her community with the hope to serve as a female engineer role model to the next generation. She mentors and coaches young adults to help them develop confidence in themselves in order to serve as effective leaders in their community.

Sandy Young

Sandy is a licensed Architectural Engineer, a Certified Construction Manager, and a LEED Accredited Professional in green building and design.  She believes proactive and positive communication can avoid project pitfalls and lead a project team to a successful end.  Sandy strives to learn and grow in her capacity as a leader and motivator.

Kevin Howard

Kevin grew up in downtown Baltimore in the ’60s and ’70s, a pivotal period of change — and hope — for the city.  He graduated from the University of Baltimore in 1983 and earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation in the mid-’90s. He started his CPA firm, Kevin T. Howard, CPA/PFS, P.A., in 2002 and acquired an investment advisory business, Flying Cloud Money Management, LLC, at the same time.

Wendy Baird

Wendy Baird is president of Insight180, a branding agency for b2b advisory businesses and nonprofits — those that “sell the invisible.” She has been advising companies, speaking and facilitating workshops on positioning strategy, name development, brand identity, and messaging and design strategy for more than 25 years, helping to align organization’s values with their brands and bring their business visions to life.  Wendy recently served on the boards or advisory committees of Howard Tech Council, National Family Resiliency Center, and Ignite Howard County. A big picture thinker who thrives on collaboration, Wendy has a talent for drawing out the creative side of even the most left-brained folks. A Reiki practitioner, and singer and actress in her spare time, she is known to break into song unexpectedly.

Rev. Brian is a New Thought minister, community leader, and purveyor of spiritual and social badassery. With a history in Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Staffing and general management in entrepreneurial startups, midsize companies and large-scale corporations, Rev. Brian has seen just about everything the midlevel white-collar lifestyle has to offer. Now, having shifted careers at a relatively young age, Rev. Brian has begun to translate the lessons learned from his career into a potent calling filled with community engagement, spiritual leadership and social impact, engaging Conscious Capitalism as a secular philosophy with the power to help bring the same sense of soulful vision from his faith into the private and public sector along the way.
